This project involved the construction of premises for the Institute of Applied Science and the Institute of Business and Commerce, equipping them with modern teaching resources and equipment. The project had the following objectives: to increase the number of 16+ attending post-secondary training, particularly those taking up science subjects; to increase the supply of skilled workers in the science, financial services and Back-office Processing Outsourcing Sectors; and to improve the educational infrastructure. The increased space enables MCAST to provide more courses in the science and finance sectors thereby encouraging an increase in students gaining highly demanded skills in the labour market.Â
