Greenhouse, Reservoir, and Fertigation System for Improved Production Efficiency

Project Summary:

The beneficiary invested in a greenhouse to control the micro-climate, along with investment in the fertigation/irrigation systems and hydroponic system, which enabled the beneficiary to triple production from the area used. The greenhouse is fitted with rainwater gutters to allow for the harvesting of rainwater which is directed towards the beneficiary’s water reservoirs. The investment also led to savings on plastic needed for outside crops. The investment is also helping the beneficiary farmer to monitor and control the fertilizer solution before and during irrigation.
