Project Summary
Active was a project coordinated by Gozo College Secondary School between 01.09.2019 and 31.08.2022 under the Erasmus+ Programme. It aimed to improve students' learning abilities, digital skills, and physical activity, addressing rising screen time. Six schools from six European countries participated in this project involving around 2800 pupils aged 3-18. The initiative focused on fostering a growth mindset, integrating movement into learning, and using ICT tools for collaborative education. Teachers received training in growth mindset, eTwinning, movement-based learning, and online assessment tools. The project resulted in increased physical activity, improved digital skills, international collaboration, cultural diversity celebration, and professional growth opportunities for educators.Opportunity Knocks (OK)

As part of the implementation of PDP4 the Malta Maritime Museum: local development through cultural heritage, four Heritage Malta staff from the Digitisation unit, the Curatorial section of the Malta Maritime Museum and Projects division, would like to visit Stavanger Museum in order to share good practices and knowledge on environmental control measures and other necessities for the building envelope, museum management, interpretation, digitisation and conservation. The exchange visit will also include a visit to the Malta Maritime Museum by four the Norwegian Curatorial staff counterparts planned for October 2022. Project Summary
The project shall be carried out at the fishing ports of Mġarr Gozo and Marsaxlokk Malta, whereby through this endeavour these designated areas will be reorganised, upgraded and expanded. It shall address the dilapidated and unsafe marine infrastructure in these ports which cannot be operated any longer. Via this investment, Transport Malta shall be providing a safer working environment for fishers through the installation of new pontoons which shall include new lighting and safety equipment. Furthermore, the current mooring facilities for fishing vessels will be increased, thereby increasing the number of safe berths. This project shall also be addressing the financial sustainability of fishers. By allocating them more berthing space, there shall be a reduction in the wastage of fuel and time incurred to find berthing space where to land catches. It will also reduce competition for such space, as fishers will have more allocated berthing space. Project Summary
With the requested funding, AquaBioTech Group (ABTG) is to receive support for the development of its existing Recirculation Aquaculture System (RAS) and the building of new systems. In line with the goals of the Common Fisheries Policy and the EMFF Regulation, ABTG wants to develop non-food aquaculture production units using RAS technology to produce fish for the experimental testing of new aquaculture products like feeds, feed additives, vaccines and equipment. Project Summary
A number of high standard training courses shall be provided to all interested registered fishers. The courses shall be aimed at improving the knowledge and skill of local fishers, targeting to increase the overall standard of the local fishing industry. Courses and seminars are projected to start during the first quarter of 2018; such activities are projected to span over a period of four months. This project shall also include an awareness media campaign, aimed at encouraging course participation. A number of mediums shall be used including: informative application letters to be sent to all professional (MFA/MFB) fisher vessel owners, posters, roll up banners and also television adverts. An information session will also be held to bridge the gap with potentially interested applicants, thus answering any difficulties or queries one might have and aiding applicants in the filling in of application forms. The Department will also be working with cooperatives and other relevant entities to facilitate the dissemination of information and increase awareness at end user level, hoping to maximse the course participation. After all courses and seminars are delivered, a closing ceremony will be held where all participants will be handed over participation certificates and respective certifications. Project Summary
Nesploraw Flimkien it-Teżori tal-Baħar! is a promotional campaign launched by the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture in partnership with the Department of Curriculum, Research, Innovation and Lifelong Learning and the National Literacy Agency, both falling within the remit of the Ministry for Education and Employment. Together, the project promoters have developed an educational animated cartoon video clip accompanied by an illustrated educational book and a hand-glove puppet of the campaign mascot. These educational resources have been distributed to primary schools in Malta and Gozo and are expected to be utilised as primary teaching resources (year 3 and year 4) in the scholastic years to come. The campaign, apart from targeting primary school pupils, targets the general public through the broadcasting of adverts on diverse mass media platforms. An open-weekend is planned to be organised at the end of June, 2018, where different stakeholders will be invited to disseminate information to the general public. Project Summary
The aim of this project was to continue in the preservation and upgrading of the oldest working national theatre in the World and a Grade 1, listed, and scheduled building: the Manoel Theatre. Through this project, an improved, high-quality experience is now being offered to the patrons of the Manoel Theatre following the implementation and installation of a new ventilation and acclimatization system. This has replaced the ventilation system installed in 1811, which was not adequate to create a comfortable ambiance in terms of air temperature control, humidity levels and air purification. In addition to the climate control system, the roof, seating and floor of the same theatre were revamped. Through this investment, the theatre can also now benefit from improved acoustics which are critical for Malta's only opera venue. Project Summary
The project restored, rehabilitated and enhanced the valorisation of the Grandmasters’ Palace as one of the foremost monuments in the World Heritage Site of Valletta. This was achieved through specific interventions which primarily revolved around the relocation and rehabilitation of the Knights’ Armoury as an outstanding visitor attraction, the restoration and sustainable rehabilitation of spaces not accessible to visitors into new themed environments and the overall improvement of the site’s infrastructure to be able to reach modern visitors' needs and expectations. Specific attention was also given to improve substantially the overall accessibility of the site to the physically impaired within the constraints imposed by the building's historic fabric.Sustainable Living Complex

The project led to the conservation and restoration of rubble walls within the ‘Outside Development Zone’ of Siggiewi, with the delineated sites situated in areas of high landscaping context.
