Erasmus+ is a programme aimed at supporting the educational, professional and personal development of individuals and organisations in Europe and beyond, driving sustainable growth, innovation, and the strengthening of European identity. The Erasmus+ programme is divided into a number of sectors which are: Higher Education, School Education, Vocational Education and Training, Adult Education, Youth and Sports.

The European Solidarity Corps is a European Union initiative that provides young people (aged 18 to 30) with opportunities to volunteer and spread solidarity together with societal change across Europe.

Anyone is eligible to participate in Erasmus+. This depends on the different Key Actions or under which sectors you’re applying for.

  1. Higher Education: Supporting mobility and cooperation between higher education institutions.
  2. School Education: Promoting the development of innovative practices in teaching and learning and enhancing the capacity of schools to address social challenges.
  3. Vocational Education and training: Promoting the development of skills and competences relevant to the labour market and enhancing the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and training.
  4. Adult Education: Supporting the development of basic and transversal skills and enhancing the quality and relevance of adult education.
  5. Youth: Supporting mobility and cooperation between youth organisations, promoting active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, and social inclusion, and enhancing the capacity of youth organisations to address social challenges.
  6. Sport: Supporting cooperation between sport organisations, promoting physical activity, health, and social inclusion, and enhancing the integrity and governance of sport.

Depending on which Key Actions of Erasmus+ you’re applying for, eligible countries can either be ‘EU Member States and Third Countries Associated to the Programme’ or ‘Third Countries not Associated to the Programme’.
