Mobility Projects for Learners and Staff in Adult Education
Mobility projects support Adult Education organisations to organise learning mobility activities abroad for adult learners and staff.
These projects help organisations:
- Improve quality and relevance of adult education
- Strengthen staff competences
- Support inclusion and learner motivation
Who Can Participate?
Eligible organisations
- Any organisation in Malta providing Adult Education or active in the field
Eligible participants
- Adult Education staff: teachers, trainers, educators, and non-teaching staff working with adult learners
- Adult learners: low-skilled individuals who did not exceed MQF Level 3, including individuals at risk
Adult learners with low digital skills (without recent ECDL or equivalent certification) are also eligible.

What Is Funded?
Funding may cover:
- Organisational support – project preparation and management
- Travel costs
- Individual support – subsistence (food and accommodation)
- Inclusion support – additional funding for participants with fewer opportunities
- Preparatory visits
- Course fees
- Linguistic support
- Exceptional costs (e.g. financial guarantees, visas)
Types of Mobility Projects
Short-term projects
- Duration: 6 to 18 months
- Ideal for first-time applicants or limited activities
- Maximum 3 grants within 5 call years
- Maximum of 30 participants
- 1 application per organisation
Accredited projects
- Open only to organisations holding an Erasmus Accreditation in Adult Education
- Provide simplified access to funding
- Support long-term Erasmus planning
- Minimum Budget Allocation for Accredited Projects in Adult Education
- List of Organisations Holding an Erasmus Accreditation in the Field of Adult Education
- List of Organisations Eligible to apply for Erasmus Accreditation in the Field of Adult Education
