The project led to the construction of a Life Sciences Centre located close to Malta’s general Hospital and to the University of Malta. The Life Sciences Centre focuses on Life Sciences and associated technologies and aims to incorporate pharmaceutical /biotech laboratories and research facilities to support knowledge-based companies. The Centre plays an important role in helping to increase skills in the sector, in driving new Foreign Direct Investment and Research and Technological Development activity, and incubation for new enterprises.
