The project’s objectives were to train staff to support disabled persons with challenging behaviour and their family members, through individualised long-term plans and inclusion in mainstream services. The project provided training to staff working with disabled persons experiencing challenging behaviour. At the end of the training, a train-the-trainer approach was utilised, whereby those trained provided training to the rest of the staff within their respective organisations. The project also included a detailed study about the quality of life of disabled persons with challenging behaviour.
