Project Summary:

This project is based on urban regeneration principles as part of the wider Integrated Action Plan for the Cottonera Region. The project entailed the full embellishment and physical regeneration of Dock Number 1 nodes; upgrading of the site next to St. John’s Bastion; and embellishment of the surrounding area outside Dar Bormla as a means of catering for persons with disabilities. The project addressed various physical, social and economic aspects, leading to enhanced transit areas, embellishment, upgrading of social conditions through housing programmes, strengthening  neighbourhoods in the locality, and instilling sustainable regeneration through better accessibility and mobility
