Higher Education

Funding opportunities for Higher Education are targeted at higher education students and staff working with higher education institutions.

Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) – 2021-2027

ECHE is a pre-requisite for all higher education institutions located in a programme country, willing to participate in learning mobility of individuals and/or cooperation for innovation and good practices under Erasmus+.

Further information about the ECHE, including information about the deadlines and how to submit your application may be obtained from here.

Higher Education institutions holding a valid ECHE are to adhere to the ECHE Monitoring Guide for Erasmus+ National Agencies.

Discover how higher education institutions can benefit from Erasmus+ funding for staff professional development by participating in activities abroad to teach and train or to send students on physical and blended mobility abroad in any study field and cycle or apply for partnerships for cooperation and work with organisations across Europe to develop ideas, network and produce tangible results like courses or tools.

ECHE Self-assessment tool

ECHE provides a broad quality framework for European and international collaboration activities that a higher education institution may undertake as part of Erasmus+.

This self-assessment will help to determine how well the institution is adopting the ECHE principles and which areas may be improved. It offers customised reports with a visual summary of the institution’s performance as well as precise recommendations on how to enhance ECHE implementation.

Explore Training & Cooperation Activities (TCAs) taking place around Europe planned by National Agencies (NAs) to encourage collaboration and sharing of best practice within Erasmus+. They include a number of activities including Contact Seminars to find project partners and Thematic seminars addressing specific topics in education, training and youth work. Discover HEInnovate which is a platform for Higher Education Institutions who want to explore their creative potential. It goes through a process of identifying, prioritising, and planning action in eight critical areas. The self-evaluation tool is accessible in all EU languages. Review Resources available that will support you in exploring funding opportunities, including the Erasmus+ Programme Guide and other useful documents.
