EMFAF Call: Investments on Board Fishing Vessels


The Ministry responsible for European Funds announces the launch of call for the following project proposals as indicated hereunder:

SO1.1/19/2026/EMFAF – Investments onboard fishing vessels


Through this call, support will be directed at fleet modernisation, innovation and the use of the latest equipment and technology, to increase EE and/or, product quality.


Support under this call is available to:

  • Fishers holding an MFA or MFB license;
  • Fishers who have not committed any serious infringements within the previous two years from the time of application;
  • Fishers who have a total minimum of 60 days of fishing activity within the previous two years from the time of application;
  • Fishers with fishing vessels not exceeding 24 metres in size.

Applicants are invited to submit complete application forms including supporting documents through https://sfd.gov.mt/application/Login.aspx

The call will close on the 30th September 2026 at noon.
